Sonas wishes to recruit a Housing Support Project Leader for its new Visiting Support Service

Sonas Housing Association provides support housing and refuge to women and children made homeless because of domestic and gender based violence.
The main purpose of this post is to:
- Further develop and establish the Sonas specialist domestic violence visiting support service.
- Ensure best practice in the delivery of support services to service users using an empowerment approach
- Supervise support workers using a case management approach.
- Co-ordinate the referrals to Sonas Visiting Support Service.
- Co-ordinate the development and review of internal policies and procedures for the service and to represent Sonas on relevant fora as required.
Essential criteria
- A minimum of three years' experience as a people and/or project manager in a related service
- Educated to degree level or holder of a relevant professional qualification
- Understanding of issues relating to homelessness and domestic violence
- A full clean driving licence with access to a car
Desirable
- Experience in the establishment and rollout of a new service
- Supervisory/Management experience within the domestic violence or housing/homelessness sector
- Qualification in social care/social science/community work/housing
- Project management experience in different work settings
- Good report writing skills and experience
- Experience of working with people with substance abuse or mental health difficulties
Duration of post
One-year full-time contract, renewable subject to funding.
Salary Scale: €41,847 - €56,324 (plus two long service increments)
